Foster Animal Hospital offers full-service, quality veterinary care with special interests in canine and feline pet medicine and surgery. We believe preventive health care is the best way to enhance your pet’s longevity and vitality.
Foster Animal Hospital, P.A. was established in 1958 when Dr. Tom Foster purchased the practice from Dr. L.H. Austin. At that time, Foster Animal Hospital was a mixed animal practice. Cabarrus County was still very rural and had many beef, dairy, horse, and swine farms. Dr. Steve Foster purchased the practice in 1990. We remained a mixed practice until 1996, when we became a small animal practice. Dr. Mark Plott became an owner in 1998. As Cabarrus County has grown, so has Foster Animal Hospital. On February 14, 2008, we opened a second clinic location, Foster Animal Clinic at Parkway Commons.
Foster Animal Hospital is a member of the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA).
Foster Animal Hospital provides discounted services to Kitty City, Cabarrus Cares, and other rescue and adoption groups. We routinely sponsor local fundraisers benefiting both pets and people. We are a corporate sponsor for Bark for Life, a canine group supporting the American Cancer Society and Explorer Scout programs.
